Baltimore Historic Hotel

Radisson Plaza Hotel, Baltimore Inner Harbor
20 West Baltimore Street
Baltimore, MD 21201

At the time of its construction in 1928, the 23-story Lord Baltimore Hotel was the largest hotel in Maryland. It was named for George Calvert (Lord Baltimore and founder of the Maryland colony in 1729), and it was the last of its kind in the city’s downtown, boasting a Renaissance Revival style with classical accents in the age of Art Deco. Today, the elegantly appointed guest rooms feature modern conveniences in an old-world atmosphere. Its downtown location is within walking distance of numerous attractions, including the Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and the Ravens’ PSINet Stadium.

Taneytown Country Inn

Antrim 1844
1844 Country Inn, 30 Trevanion Road
Taneytown, MD 21787

Colonel Andrew Ege gave the name of his birthplace (County Antrim, in Ireland) to this property and then gave the property to his daughter as a wedding gift. In 1861 George Washington Clabaugh (chief justice of the Washington D.C. district court) bought Antrim and it remained in his family for a century. The property was used as headquarters by Gen. Meade prior to the Battle of Gettysburg. After an extensive restoration effort, Antrim 1844 opened as a country inn in 1988. Once a 2,500-acre plantation, Antrim now occupies 23 acres of scenic countryside in central Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains.  The hotel's guest rooms each feature antique furnishings, canopy feather beds, marble baths, and splendid views.
