Cincinnati Luxury Hotel The
Cincinnatian Hotel When it opened in 1882, the Palace Hotel—as it was then known—quickly became a jewel in the Queen City’s crown, featuring a grand walnut and marble staircase and such novelties as elevators and incandescent lighting. Renamed The Cincinnatian Hotel in 1951, this local landmark faced the possibility of demolition in the early 1980s. The French Second Empire building was saved from destruction and underwent a $25 million renovation that included a soaring eight-story skylit atrium. In 1987, 105 years after its premiere, The Cincinnatian Hotel opened again as a luxury hotel, combining old-world charm with a contemporary flair. (The Cincinnatian is a registered Historic Hotel) Click here to check availability for this historic luxury hotel Cincinnati Historic Hotel Best
Western Mariemont Inn Just minutes from downtown Cincinnati lies the picturesque village of Mariemont, Ohio, envisioned by its founder Mary Muhlenberry Emery as a "National Exemplar" in practical town planning. Discouraged by a rise in sub-standard living conditions, Mrs. Emery sought to create an affordable, comfortable environment for working-class citizens. From its inception in 1923, the village served as a model of true community living, offering residents and visitors an abundance of activities, all within walking distance. In the heart of the town sits the Mariemont Inn, a striking three-story Tudor structure named for Mrs. Emery’s summer home in Rhode Island. Today, Mariemont is a thriving community comprising picturesque Tudor-style architecture, tree-lined streets, and grassy medians and parks. Lafayette One of the last riverboat-era hotels, the Lafayette opened on July 1, 1918, and was named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette, who visited the city in 1825 at a site near the hotel. He has since been regarded as Marietta’s first tourist. With its distinctive triangular shape, the hotel offers guest rooms with views of either the Ohio or the Muskingum Rivers, whose legendary flooding a half-century ago is indicated on benchmarks in the lobby.
